You know what you need to do......

But can't get yourself to do it.

It's time you figured out what's holding you back

I love figuring things out on my own, too, but when we get stuck, it's time to get support.

Feeling stuck despite knowing what you should do? You're not alone.

I hear about this common struggle frequently, and it's not about laziness. Instead, there are often deeper reasons behind it. â€‹

Have you taken a close look at what's holding you back?

  • The times you’ve felt so overwhelmed that you shut down for weeks.

  • Your habit of binge-watching Netflix all weekend as a way to escape.

  • The times you’ve held back your thoughts out of fear of speaking up.

  • The grief and anger surrounding the loss of a loved one.

  • That dream life you’ve put aside because it feels unreachable.

  • The harsh inner voice that constantly criticizes you, things you’d never say to anyone else.

  • The secret habits that you know are detrimental but struggle to change.

Heres' the thing...... there is no judgment at all if some of these ring true for you. We all (including me) figure out ways to cope with difficult emotions, life stressors, chronic pain, etc. These things may have served you in MANY different ways and we can be grateful for that and, also want to move past it.

You are a complex, living human with a lifetime of experiences (some of them not-so-great), and they could be preventing you from living your best life.

Individual Therapy

What is it?

  • A deep dive, using a holistic approach, into what is preventing you from feeling your best.

  • We start by exploring your goals and what you need from therapy. I ask questions like, "What are your struggles?" "What have you tried, and is it working?" and "Why do you want to accomplish these goals?"

  • Then, we start the process of being detectives and figuring out what is preventing you from meeting these goals. (This can get into deeper work, where we consider your thoughts, beliefs, the health of your body/brain, and connection to your self/higher power if you believe in that. ect.)

  • We come up with a plan together to help you achieve your goals.

What about Insurance?

"While I don’t accept insurance directly, you can still reduce therapy costs by:

  • Using FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) funds

  • Deducting therapy as a qualified medical expense if you itemize on your taxes

  • Claiming out-of-network benefits through your insurance"

Out-of-Network Benefits

We have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

Or.....

I recommend checking with your insurance company before starting therapy. Even if they don’t reimburse you, therapy costs might still count towards your deductible. Given the complexities of our healthcare system, it’s best to get details in writing if possible.

Here are the key questions to ask:

  1. Out-of-Network Benefits

    • Do you offer out-of-network benefits? If not, can therapy costs count towards my deductible?

  2. If Out-of-Network Benefits Are Available

    • Is there a deductible? If so, how much? Is it per person or per family?

    • Do you cover a flat rate or a percentage of the cost? For example, will you reimburse up to $100 per session, or a percentage like 80% of a $250 session?

  3. Coverage Details

    • For individual therapy, do you cover CPT codes 90837 or 90834? If not, which codes are covered?

    • Are there specific ICD codes for diagnoses that are covered? Do they need to start with an "F"? If so, which ones?

If your insurance covers out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a "superbill" (a fancy receipt) that you can then submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
